REGULAR MEETING
Members Present: Chairman Nick Norton, Vice-Chairman Adam Turner, Jay Gigliotti, Jay Cohen, Liz Gillman, William Hochhlozer, Rob Misbach (6:03 p.m.)

1. Call Meeting to Order: Chairman Norton called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
2. Citizen’s Comments: None
3. Approval of the December 9, 2008 Regular Meeting Minutes:
* Chairman Norton requested Item 6. be moved to this point in the agenda to allow
J. Cohen to report on the Open Space Grant before having to leave the meeting early.
6. Open Space Grant: Gina Crandell and Matt White were approved by the BOS as contractors to design a trail at the White Oaks Development. Mr. White will be the primary contractor with Ms. Crandell reporting to him. They are to design a general plan and suggestions for how the trail should be laid out. The trail will take advantage of the natural characteristics of the property. Possibilities of the land were discussed by members.
4. Land Acquisitions: None at this time.
5. Farm Study Report: The final report was handed out with the Town Planner’s plans on how the report would be distributed. The suggestions included a meeting with farmers and presentations given to boards. After all the meetings are held a series of objectives will be developed and prioritized. Even though the report is completed Mr. Turner still believes that the farmers need to be heard from in more depth. How to make contact with the farmers was discussed. He would like
L. Gilman to attempt to persuade the farmers to come to a presentation. J. Cohen suggested trying to hold a presentation at the grange to make contact with as many farmers as possible.

Public land that could be used for agricultural purposes was discussed, such as the Zagray farm. Zagray does have deed restrictions but it is uncertain by members what they are. The Zagray property on Clark Road is not being used for anything.
A. Turner wants all members to read the report and at the next meeting discuss priorities and recommendations.
6. Open Space Grant: Moved prior to Item 4.
7. Any Other Business Deemed Necessary: A consultant has been hired to work on the Salmon River Watershed action plan. The project is in conjunction with the Nature Conservancy and additional surrounding towns. J. Gigliotti serves as the town’s representative.
8. Adjournment: J. Gigliotti motioned to adjourn, seconded by L. Gillman. All members present voted in favor. MOTION CARRIED.
Chairman Norton adjourned the meeting at 6:36 p.m.
