The Colchester Health Department offers FREE Safety Awareness Food Training (SAF-T) classes throughout the year. People who would like to update their knowledge of proper food handling and preparation are welcome to attend. Volunteer organizations that prepare and serve food as fundraising activities should have at least two people SAF-T trained. Call the Health Department Information Line at 537-3910 or the Sanitarian at 537-7213 for information on upcoming classes, or to schedule a training class for your organization.
