Town of Colchester
Special Town Meeting
A Special Town Meeting of the electors and citizens qualified to vote at town meetings of the Town of Colchester, CT will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 7:00 p.m., Town Hall, 127 Norwich Avenue, for the following purpose:
1. To discuss and vote upon a budget transfer to the snow removal account, in the amount of $174,200 to cover the cost of a significant number of snow/ice events during the winter 2008/2009 season, from various other accounts as recommended by the Board of Finance and the Board of Selectmen. A list of other accounts is on file in the Town Clerk’s Office.
2. To discuss and vote upon a Land Acquisition on McDonald Road by the Town of Colchester which is a 31-acre parcel adjacent to the Ruby Cohen property. The total cost is $182,000. broken down as follows: Town - $140,000., Colchester Land Trust - $42,000.
3. Adjournment.
