TOWN OF COLCHESTER

Colchester Youth Services has a part-time job opportunity for someone
interested in working with youth in grades 6-8 on Monday and Wednesday
afternoons from 2:00PM - 4:00 PM throughout the school year. $12/hour.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:  Responsible for the general supervision of
youth participating in Youth Services programs on Monday and Wednesdays
from 2:00-4:00 PM throughout the school year.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Work under the direct supervision of the Youth
Services Director and Program Coordinators and the administrative
direction of the First Selectman.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:
1. Knowledge of behavior modification techniques
2. Ability to supervise children in large groups
3. Strong interpersonal skills
4. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or
without reasonable accommodation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervision of Colchester children ages 6-18 
2. Maintain a safe and clean environment at the Youth Center.
3. Provide a safe and nurturing environment
4. Promote a positive interaction among children  
5. Ensure those attending Youth Center activities adhere to program
rules.  
6. Other tasks as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
1. Experience working with youths in supervisory setting.
